The Glory of Christ – John Owen

In his book, ‘The Glory of Christ – His Office and Grace’, John Owen starts off with a preface that’s deeper than entire books I have read. Here’s a quote:

The revelation made of Christ in the blessed gospel is far more excellent, more glorious, and more filled with rays of divine wisdom and goodness, than the whole creation and the just comprehension of it, if attainable, can contain or afford…..this therefore, deserves the severest of our thoughts, the best of our meditations, and our utmost diligence in them. - pg. 23-24.

I haven’t even gone through the book, but I know it’s worth a read. I have heard (and am now experiencing!) that getting through Owen books takes a little longer than other authors, but it’s well worth the effort in the end.

Get reading.
